         A woman said to be about 80 years old named Madam Comfort Izeomwen was arrested by the Edo State Police Command along with her accomplice, a 48 year old woman named Stella Omobude, who was caught with 32 live cartridges. Edo State Police Commissioner, Chris Ezike, who paraded the suspects (above), said the women were arrested after police raided Evbueren village, along Benin/Auchi road, where the women lived after they got an anonymous tip about their operation... The police said they recovered 68 live cartridges from the octogenarian. Ezike also disclosed that a mop-up operation also led to the arrest of Monday Obaseki, 38, and Ita Ehiozefe,40.     "I sell (cartridges) to them at N250, but I don’t know what they do with it. That is what I do for a living," the octogenarian confessed while speaking with journalists at the command headquarters, PM news reported.

The Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders has threatened to sue the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for ignoring the series of petitions written by it against former Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State. The Executive Director of CACOL, Mr. Debo Adeniran, told our correspondent that he was disappointed that the Senate and President Muhammadu Buhari could find Fashola worthy of a ministerial appointment despite the series of allegations against him. He, however, said since Fashola did not have immunity, CACOL would continue to pursue its case against the former governor. He said, “We are concluding plans to take the EFCC and the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission to court. We will file an order of mandamus to compel them to investigate Fashola if they have not investigated him. Nollywood heartthrob  Yul Edochie  has revealed that he was attacked by armed robbers while in Enugu. On Friday 16th October 2015, Yul who was in Enugu for a movie shoot, was relaxing in his hotel after a busy day on set then suddenly armed robbers invaded the hotel. According to star, here is what happened; I really wish it’s a rumour but its not. This really happened. I was attacked by armed robbers on Friday night in enugu while I was relaxing in my hotel premises after the day’s shoot. Luckily I escaped but unfortunately I crashed into a glass door as I was running for dear life and sustained this cut on my ear and a few bruises. Not a funny experience at all. I’m back to Lagos to run a full scan to be sure all is well inside. Police in suburban Washington, D.C. are investigating the murder of a 21-year-old transgender woman who was shot dead outside a Maryland shopping center on Thursday, October15. Zella Ziona was found in an alleyway near a Washington, D.C. parking lot between two shopping malls, with a fatal gunshot wound to her head. She later died at a hospital. According to The Advocate, Ziona is the 21st transgender person killed in the United States in 2015, a record-high number. Police initially identified Ziona as a man due to identification found at the scene, but after speaking with friends and family, authorities on Friday correctly used her chosen gender and name. Although police have not officially called her death a hate crime, they haven't ruled out the possibility.
